MEET OUR TEAM
BESc., D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic)
My mission is to create energetic and inspired living by providing world-class chiropractic and wellness care in all dimensions of your life.
Dr. Detzler is the owner and main doctor at Detzler Chiropractic in Trail. He has been in practice since 1995 after graduating from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. His promise to you when you come to the clinic is to provide undivided attention to your specific health and wellness needs.
Always on the go being an avid mountain biker, backcountry skier, spey/fly fisherman, and chiropractor, he understands firsthand the importance of remaining pain free and vibrant by choosing a healthy lifestyle. He has no secret to achieving this rather scientific fact it being regular chiropractic, a healthy clean diet, and proper exercise. His goal as a chiropractor is to educate and empower people with an understanding of how the human body functions so that wise decisions can be made about their health and well-being. He believes the greatest wealth of all is our health.
Dr. Detzler utilizes both adjusting techniques found in the chiropractic profession, manual and instrument assisted, to ensure your treatment expectations are fully satisfied.
Regarding instrument assisted adjusting he uses the Integrator instrument and Torque Release Technique (TRT) to detect and correct primary dysfunctions of the spine and nervous system. His preference for the Integrator instrument and TRT technique for it is the only chiropractic approach developed out of a blind research study providing a precise, gentle release in spinal tension.
R.TCM.P., R.Ac. (Acupuncturist & Herbalist)
My passion is helping people live a fully pain-free, healthy, active lifestyle by providing modern orthopaedic sports acupuncture.
An accomplished semi-pro athlete, Justin has always been passionate about health, nutrition, fitness, and performance. This led him to study Kinesiology, Massage Therapy, and Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. He has been in practice since 2017 after graduating with a Diploma in Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Later, post graduate studies in orthopaedics, sports acupuncture*, dry needling, trigger point therapy, and on-going review of the research in academic journals, Justin has further developed his clinical skills which he prides himself on producing consistent repeatable results for patients of all ages and walks of life.
Whether you're an athlete or not, nine or ninety-years-old, why would you choose orthopaedic sports acupuncture? To put it simply, results!
"Treating pain, improving performance, preventing reinjury, and restoring muscle/skeleton dysfunction is what I do best. Being a Registered Acupuncturist** and Herbalist, my dry needling training reaches above and beyond weekend courses offered to other health care practitioners."
* Sports acupuncture is a modern technique developed on the basis of neurology, biomechanics and muscle function.
** Registered Acupuncturist require a minimum of 1,900 hours extensive training anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
BREA
Brea moved to Trail in 2021 from her hometown of Fernie, BC. She holds certificates in Bookkeeping and Administrative Studies from College of the Rockies and has a strong interest in the health and wellness industry. Although she was new to chiropractic when she joined the team, Brea quickly discovered the many benefits of chiropractic care and enjoys helping patients get the support they need at Detzler Chiropractic. Outside of work, she enjoys biking, playing hockey, and relaxing with a good book.
BETH
Beth has been a resident of Trail for close to 40 years. She hails from Kamloops, where she met her husband, Gord, while he was traveling as a musician. Beth has had many opportunities to work with the public and in administration over the past 40 years, which has gained her invaluable experience. One aspect Beth enjoys while working with Dr. Detzler and the team is helping and watching patients regain their health, as she has experienced herself. Beth’s interests away from the office include gardening, canning, hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, health and nutrition, and most of all, sharing a good laugh with friends and family.
